Vice President Research and Development
Stephen Rowland joined OrbusNeich after a 14 year tenure at Cordis, where he was vice president of research and development. Dr. Rowland was also vice president and general manager of Cordis Endovascular Systems, a separate business unit of Cordis focused on instrumentation to treat neurovascular diseases. He was responsible for all aspects of this start up business including sales, marketing, development, strategic planning, and administration. His other experiences at Cordis included major contributions to advanced research and development across a variety of Cordis product initiatives. He is inventor on nine issued US patents, two published patent applications, and several other pending applications. He holds a BS in biology from West Virginia Wesleyan College and a PhD in bio-engineering from the University of Utah.
